Important Updates

This election we will be relying more on in person contact with members. The best way, other than door to door, is contact at their worksite. To that end, we need your help to update all accessible worksites for your local. This election is crucial. Most elections are but this one even more so. We need a labor friendly Governor to stop the horrible bills coming out of Tallahassee and labor friendly US Senator to keep a check on attacks on the Federal level as well as Supreme Court and other judicial nominations.

I can’t express enough how critical it is to educate our members and get them to the polls. There is an energized all-out attack directed at us and we need to do the same to counter the attack. We need this for the future of our members, their families, our unions, and all working people. Anyone that doubts this has not been paying attention.

Many of you are public sector or otherwise have inaccessible worksites, so be thinking of ways that you can educate and get information to those members, union bulletin boards, shop stewards, local union mail, newsletters, etc.

We will also be relying more on volunteers this election. I forwarded an email from State Fed President Mike Williams to you earlier today with a link for volunteer sign-ups. Please get that information out to your members and encourage their participation.

Together in Solidarity we can win for working people, but we need to be on our best game. Are you ready?
